Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC) has been commissioning research since
2001 to enhance our mandate of social responsibility and responsible gambling.
This is fundamental to our business as we need this information to ensure we
are making the best possible decisions.
Emphasis is placed on getting good information through different venues and
as such, NSGC has worked with some of the gambling industry's

The goals of NSGC's research are:

- To increase NSGC's confidence that it is approaching research in the most effective way and spending limited taxpayer dollars in the most effective manner.
- To increase NSGC's capability to partner effectively with outside academic experts to conduct and manage effective research.
