Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation Onboard as Platinum Sponsor for Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival 2007

July 4, 2007 - Halifax: The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC) is proud to be the platinum sponsor of the Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival 2007. Aside from the presenting sponsor, Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, this is the largest sponsor of the Festival. For NSGC, this community involvement is a way for us to give back and provide fun and entertaining experiences to our fellow Nova Scotians.

The hallmark of NSGC’s sponsorship is an event not to be missed. Bringing the excitement of Mardis Gras to the Cunard Centre in Halifax, NSGC is pleased to present our Maritime Louisiana Mardi Gras night. With entertainment and upbeat Louisiana music from the internationally renowned Hunter Hayes, as well as the Celtic band Pogey, this is sure to be one of the largest events of the weekend. Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 14th from 8 p.m. until 1a.m.   

 

Adding to the excitement, NSGC will be donating a $5,000 travel voucher that will be raffled off. The winner can use it however and wherever they like (local accommodations, flights with any airline, travel packages, car rental, theme park tickets, etc.)! Raffle tickets on this outstanding prize will be sold throughout the night and all funds raised will go to SeaStar, a new program that allows underprivileged children in Nova Scotia the opportunity to learn how to sail.
