As the manager of Nova Scotia's gambling industry, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation's (NSGC) mandate is to create an industry that balances social responsibility and economic sustainability. In 2009-10, NSGC generated $145.9 million in profit, and supported 1,485 businesses that collectively made more than $41 million in commissions. With social responsibility in focus, NSGC reached 95,000 Nova Scotians through more than a dozen prevention and education programs.
