Know what it means to...
gamble responsibly...
The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC) is a Crown corporation governed by the provincial Gaming Control Act. It is responsible for the conduct and management of the Province's gaming business to maximize net revenue in a responsible manner. Operations include ticket lotteries, video lotteries and casinos.
In 1995, Nova Scotia modernized its gaming legislation by introducing the Gaming Control Act. The Act established, for the first time, two distinct and separate organizations to handle the responsibility of gaming: one agency to manage the business of gaming, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, and one to regulate, the Alcohol and Gaming Division. Nova Scotia is the only province in the Atlantic region operating under such a regime.
