As the manager of Nova Scotia's gambling industry, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation's (NSGC) mandate is to create an industry that balances social responsibility and economic sustainability. In 2010-11, NSGC generated $141.6 million in profit, and supported 1,442 businesses that collectively earned $39.8 million in commissions. With social responsibility in focus, NSGC reached 99,000 Nova Scotians through more than a dozen prevention and education programs.
